Raahu and Kethu in the past around 1-1/2 years would have done some significant favour to you.
Generally, Raahu in Kumbam and Kethu in Katagam as was the case until now is a favourable disposition. But, both places are inimical to both. As such, the favours you received during the past would not have been so complete as to satisfy your expectations. But sure, there is headway.
They would have had a say on your health or on the health of your loved ones in the family. Financial uncertainity, health problems, straining relationships and all that conflicting problems would have been part of the period of 1-1/2 years. In the financial front, some apparent strain would have prevailed and then would have gradually faded out.
It is going to be any better this time when Raahu is going into Makaram and Kethu into Simham?
Raahu is moving into a house which is considered friendly to him. It means, he will be in a more comfortable position to do anything he has to, without any obstacle from the house where he is going to traverse for the next 1-1/2 years.
During the last one and half years, the benefits of Guru in the 9th house would have rendered pleasing results, though with some interruptions since Sani is in the 5th house and Raahu being in an unfriendly house. The overall performance of the last 1-1/2 years could have been successful to a large extent, though Kethu in the Puthra Sthanam might have disturbed your peace of mind to some extent.
Altogether, the last period would have been good in the overall shape.
Raahu is now going to move into the 10th house from your Raasi. It may place a hammer on your profession or business. For some people, a change of place or change in position in the job may occur.
If you have already undergone a change, it may worsen the working conditions and make you feel that the job has become too tedious to cope up with. Or there might be other problems associated with your work or work place. It may also impair your hard earned goodwill and name.
With Raahu in the 10th place and Kethu in the 4th place, your health is likely to be disturbed to some extent. Some people may have Chest Pains, Cardio Vascular disorders, intestinal problems, gastritis, abdominal discomfort etc may happen. Bleeding disorders and ulcers in the intestines may aggravate for some people, as an exceptional case.
Marital harmony may suffer partially. Misunderstandings may creep up - but will prevail only for a short period of time. Mother’s health may become a matter of concern and worries.

Some people may be in a compelling situation to go abroad. This will give a better financial mileage and take you further ahead over time.

If you accept the change that comes in its own accord, you will find tremendous growth in the next year.
Not the entire period of 1-1/2 years is going to be tough. The nearly one year period between December 2008 and November 2009 will be a tough going time - but it will also sow the seed for growth and prosperity in the next year.
Family life will generally be cohesive. But somebody, maybe some elders may have to take up your responsibilities for the family.
In general, this is going to be a period of mixed effects. But the foundation for your future growth will be well laid during this period.
